Aluminum skins

Ordered 2 sets of aluminum skins. They should ship this Friday. Got an extra set for another R2 I may be putting together in the future. Maybe an R5D4 or an imperial droid or an R4-M9. Who knows. First things first.

R2LA DVD

Watched the R2LA 2003 DVD tonight for inspiration. Dave Painter's all aluminum R2 is very impressive. Equally impressive is Michael Senna's detailed tear down and explanation. Now I'm stoked.

Just noticed Richard Cross has made many more resin parts available. Looks like I need to place another parts order!

Under shoulder details arrived

Got the set of aluminum under shoulder details today. They look great.

Correct body tube arrived.

The 18" tube got here yesterday.

Getting more aluminum parts.

Going to order aluminum outer ankles, shoulder details, and possibly outer legs if there is another run.
Oh yeah, and some aluminum skins, as well.
